This song has a 4X4 scheme. Each verse has four lines, each line is broken into 4 parts, and each part contains 4 syllables. The way the lines were broken up was weird because sometimes it meant that certain words were broken up in the middle as well. I don’t know too much about poetry, it might be that you’re supposed to put extra emphasis at the beginning of each part. I adjusted it below so that the beginning of every part would be capitalized though for all of you who are more cultured than me. I’ll also try and get the next chapter out tomorrow…well, today now as well.

Then the girl suddenly hit me

It didn’t hurt much at all

However it was the first time I was hit
     Dakedo waTashi wa haJimete naGurareta
But it was the first time someone met my gaze
     Mesen o AwaseraReta no mo Hajimete

I became deeply afraid of the girl
     Watashi wa Musume ga OsoroshiKu natta
The girl did nothing but hit me
     Musume wa Hitasura Watashi o Naguruno
My eyes saw nothing but her hitting me
     Watashi no Me o mite Hitasura Naguruno
I protected my head
     Watashi wa Jibun no Atama oKabauno

Then the girl took me in her arms
     Soshitara Musume ga Watashi o Daitano
I am thrilled to be in her heart

The girl gives me love

I felt love for the first time
